Edward Green
Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Midwest Region

Edward Green is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Midwest Region. In this role, he oversees the professional development, curriculum, instruction, data analysis and assessment, and leadership and staff coaching functions at Renaissance school sites in the Midwest. Previously, he served as the president of the Safer Schools Project in Ohio, and as an education consultant for the Mayerson Academy, where he led the instructional and curricular reform for the Cincinnati Public Schools’ turnaround effort to successfully take the school district from a state of “academy emergency” to a rating of “effective” on its state report card. CPS is the only large urban district in the Midwest to have achieved this rating.

His BA degree from the University of Findlay is in foreign language and bilingual education/ESL. His M.Ed. in urban educational leadership is from the University of Cincinnati. He also has a J.D. from Salmon Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.  Edward has been a regular classroom teacher, an ESL teacher, and a program administrator. As an attorney, Edward worked for abused and neglected children, juvenile delinquents, English learners, and students with disabilities focusing on education law and policy reform.
